Happiness is very important to individuals but it is very hard to define. Why is happiness hard to define? What is your opinion of happiness?

Happiness, despite its importance to human life, has no clear definition. I shall explore the reasons for its hard definition and present my own definition of happiness.

The ambiguous definition of happiness is attributed to the fact that it is a subjective feeling, with each person’s idea different from one another. It can mean anything that contributes to the positive and beneficial feeling of one person. A good health may bring happiness to someone who has just recovered from a grave illness while for someone who is fit and strong, he or she may have a different definition of happiness, which could be a promotion at work, or a holiday away in a beautiful beach like one of those in Hawaii. 1,主观感受,每个人都有不同的个性和爱好

My own definition of happiness is, with a precondition of all my basic need are satisfied, to form a loving relationship between myself and my loved ones including my family members and my friends and whoever comes into my contact. First and foremost, I won’t feel the sense of wellbeing unless all my basic needs as a human are met without worrying about food, clothing and accommodation, which does not necessarily mean a spacious villa and luxurious and designer clothes like Channel or Prada. In addition, a healthy and loving relationship with people around me could significantly boost my sense of wellbeing, contributing to a productive and efficient lifestyle. Just as a saying goes,:”Love makes the world go around.” The love and support of our loved ones, which are not something promised by fame and fortune, makes our life on earth more meaningful and complete. Also, I can find happiness in a good health, a piece of good music, and a delicious meal.
